The maiden meeting of Municipal Education Oversight Committee 2025, took place on Friday, June 27th 2025 at the premises of the Assembly Hall. The main Agenda was to discuss the functions of the oversight committee which oversees all educational issues in the Municipality, Sanitation issues in the public schools and the Uncompleted school buildings, amongst others in the Municipality
The MCE who doubles as the Chairman of the Committee in his opening remarks thanked member for their presence. He mentioned that Education is the foundation to a better future and therefore edged members to contribute meaningfully to discussions being held by the committee in other to improve education services to the public.
The Education Director then took members through the items on the agenda.
At the end, members gave various suggestions, comments and recommendations to determine the way forward for activities of the committee.
