The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor has advised people living with disabilities (PWD) to put items they receive from the Assembly to good use.

 

He said this to the fourth batch of PWD beneficiaries at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly on Monday, 16th November 2020. 

 

Hon. Patrick Kumor (MCE) told the beneficiaries that a monitoring team will be coming round to ensure that the items are utilized effectively.

 

Present at the ceremony was the Municipal Director of Social Welfare, Mrs. Nancy Pertey.

 

Eleven (11) people benefited from this batch. 

 

Items presented to them included chest freezers, ice chests, DJ Mixer, popcorn machines, food items, and hearing aids.

 

Financial support was, also, given to one to attend a driving school and acquire a driver's license.

 

Mr. Richard Kodua, a beneficiary, thanked the Assembly and the government for the kind gesture and pledged to put them to good use.
