WGMA AGRIC DEPARTMENT UNDERTAKES URBAN AGRICULTURE PROJECT

The Agric department's urban agriculture project at the Weija Gbawe Municipality rooftop is thriving.
Container gardening has proven to be a successful method for growing a variety of crops.
Weed and pest control measures have been implemented to ensure healthy plant growth.
Regular training sessions are held for staff and community members on best practices.
Staking and pruning techniques are used to promote plant stability and encourage bushy growth.
A efficient watering schedule has been established to conserve water and reduce waste.
Oregano plants are being multiplied through cuttings and division to increase yields.
The project has not only provided fresh produce but also serves as a model for urban sustainability.
Community engagement and education on container gardening have been integral to the project's success.
As the project continues to grow, plans are underway to expand to other rooftops and public spaces.
