The One- Week mourning of the Late Hon. Patrick Kwasi Brako Kumor (Immediate Past MCE) for Weija Gbawe Municipality took place today, June 7, 2024 at the Fitness First Health Centre Club at Weija Junction.

The ceremony was honored with the presence of the Member of Parliament for the Municipality, Hon. Tina Gifty Mensah, Hon. Michael Danquah (MCE for the Municipality) , Madam Vida Awuku( Municipal Coordinating Director), Traditional Rulers, Personnel from the Ghana Security Services, other dignitaries, Assembly Members, Staffs from the Weija- Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Party Faithfuls of the New Patriotic Party and other constituents.

The Ghana Immigration Service band and other Kete Troupes cheered the ceremony up with their songs and drumming.

Hon. Patrick Kumor was the first Vice Chairman of the Weija- Gbawe Constituency for the New Patriotic Party. He was appointed by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in 2018 as the Municipal Chief Executive of  Weija-Gbawe but suddenly passed away on May 5, 2024 after a short illness.

He will be laid in state on July 13, 2024 at the State House in Accra and later be taken to his hometown where he would be buried.
