The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly held its maiden Heads of Units meeting on February 28, 2024 at the Assembly Hall after the successful confirmation of the newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Michael Danquah.

 The Municipal Chief Executive in his remarks, thanked God and appreciated all staff members who have contributed in diverse ways towards the development of the Municipality and also giving him the chance to join their team. He also emphasized on the need to enhance productivity through team work and commitment.

Heads of Departments were given the chance to introduce themselves, their units and their roles for the MCE to have a clear knowledge of each department’s task. They also outlined some of the challenges facing them and pleaded with the MCE to address them in the course of time.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Vida Awuku also stressed on the need for all management staff to support the ongoing Revenue Mobilization exercise being carried out by the Assembly in order regain more revenue for the developmental projects in the Municipality.

The staff thanked the Municipal Chief Executive for his encouragement and promised to deliver their best during his tenure in office.
