The newly appointed Chief Director for the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council has embarked on a familiarization visit to Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, as part of her visitation to all MMDA’s in the Region.
She visited the Assembly on the 30th of August, 2023 together with the Regional Human Resource Manager and the Public Relations Officer of the RCC.
She arrived at about 1:10 pm to a teaming staff gathered at ITS hall.
After brief introduction of staff from the various departments, she shared with us her vision for the Regional Coordinating Council and urged the Assembly to cooperate and work hard to make the MMDA’s in the Greater Accra Region envious place to be.
Among the issues touched on were the issues attendance and punctuality, Postings, engagement of staff in Political Activities, submission of Reports, Local Level Elections, Functionality of Zonal Councils and posting of staff in other class to be effected soon.
She entreated the Heads of the Institution to provide logistics and resources to enable staff perform.
There were question and answer segment and she responded to all questions including her resolve to attend to boundary concerns raised.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, who also represented the Municipal Chief Executive expressed the Assembly’s appreciation for her visit and assured the Chief Director of our commitment to helping her realize her vision for the Region.
The meeting which was a large success was coordinated by the Human Resource Department.
Total number of staff present was 210, made up of 112 males and 98 females.
