EU CHINATOWN SHOPPING CENTER OPENED IN WEIJA-GBAWE

 At the grand opening of the EU Chinatown Shopping Center near Weija junction, Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE)of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA) encouraged foreign investors to consider investing in the Weija-Gbawe municipality. 

The shopping center, which is located next to Pambros Salt Industries along the Mallam-Kasoa highway, was officially opened on April 8th, 2023, and was attended by Nii Boi Kojo II (Gbawe Mantse), Nii Kwarkwei III (New Awoshie Mantse), and some elders of the Gbawe stool.

 All Set for Tetegu Steel Bridge Repairs 

Steel plates and other parts for the repair and maintenance work on the Tetegu Steel Bridge, are ready.

The components were received on Friday, 14th April 2023, at the site by the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Hon. Tina Mensah and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA), Hon. Patrick Kumor.

Present at the site were the Assembly Member for the Tetegu Electoral Area, Hon. Bright Adabra and the District Police Commander of the Weija Division, who would be ensuring the safety and security of both pedestrians and workers on the project.

 Sanitation Ghana Partners WGMA In Mega Clean Up

Weija junction, in the Weija-Gbawe municipality, was a scene of activity on Saturday, 15th April 2023.

Sanitation Ghana (NGO) and the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly joined hands to undertake a mega clean up exercise in the area.

The clean up exercise dubbed, 'Operation Let's Clean Weija Junction', was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA), Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, the Presiding Member (PM), Hon. Andrew Oppong Amoako, some Assembly Members and staff of the Municipal Assembly.

Hon. Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, came in full clean up outfit to help keep Weija junction clean.

She was accompanied by the constituency executive and other patriots.

In an interview, Hon. Patrick Kumor (MCE) was full of praise for the initiators of the clean up and hoped that other well-meaning individuals and organizations would emulate what Sanitation Ghana has done.

The Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Tina Mensah said frequency exercises like this would ensure a clean Weija-Gbawe, in line with the President's vision of making Accra the cleanest city as we ride on the back of the of the 'Operation Clean Your Frontage' programme.

She thanked all for coming and said such programmes would be replicated throughout the Weija-Gbawe Constituency.
