MCE Hands Over KG Block To Weija Presby School.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, has advised the school authorities of the Weija Presbyterian Basic School to cultivate a maintenance culture in order to keep the infrastructure in good shape at all times.

 

Hon. Patrick Kumor (MCE) gave the advice at the commissioning of a new Kindergarten (KG) Block for the school on Thursday, 14th January 2021.

 

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon. Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah, who spoke to the media earlier, said the new block is the second one built in the municipality to aid the little ones.

 

She said education is dear to her heart and would do all in her power to ensure that the children are taught in a conducive environment.

 

Nuumo Tetteyfio lll, the Chief Priest of the Weija Traditional Council, thanked the MP, the MCE and the Municipal Assembly for the edifice and asked for more developmental projects for the area.

 

Mr. Charles Odoom, the Municipal Director of Education, thanked the Assembly for the gesture and assured the MCE of their commitment to maintain it.

 

The Municipal Coordinating Director of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Madam Mercy Quansah, said, in appreciating the new block, members of the community should exercise their civic responsibilities by paying their rates to pave way for more of such projects.

 

The Municipal Chief Executive together with the chiefs, cut the tape to declare the KG Block open for use.
