EMPIRE CEMENT, KASAPREKO DONATE TO FLOOD VICTIMS

Nana Obokom Atta IX, CEO of Empire Cement Ghana Limited, has made a generous contribution to the Weija-Gbawe municipality in the aftermath of the Weija dam spillage.

This donation took place on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assemblys forecourt.

Empire Cement provided one hundred bottles of cooking oil, one hundred packs of 5kilo rice, and twenty pieces of cloth in total.

Kasapreko also provided the Weija-Gbawe Municipality with numerous packs of assorted drinks and bottles of water.

Nana Obokom Atta IX, speaking at the brief session, described the items as their widows mite to the immediate environment in which the Empire Cement factory is located.

Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor (MCE) and Hon. Tina Naa Ayele Mensah (MP) accepted the items and expressed gratitude.

The MCE also pleaded with other organizations to follow suit and assist the municipalitys flood victims.

Empire Cement has been in the news for being denied permission to operate due to pollution allegations, despite their claims of using environmentally friendly machines.
