The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA), Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, has assured the Weija Sector Command of the Ghana Immigration Service of his continued support of their activities in the municipality.

Hon. Kumor (MCE) made the remark when he welcomed the new Greater Accra Regional Commander of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), DCO1 Samuel Tetteh Ayeh to his office on Thursday, 22nd September 2022.

The Regional Commander, who was on a familiarization tour of sections under his command, called on the MCE to thank him for the support of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly to the Immigration Service.

DCO1 Ayeh used the opportunity to discuss security issues.

He touched on, especially, the influx of foreign nationals to the country, and how to regulate their activities.

He, also, asked for additional office space for the Weija Sector Command.

In response, Hon. Patrick Kumor (MCE) reaffirmed his commitment to assist them to ensure the maintenance of security within the municipality.

The Greater Accra Regional Commander was accompanied by the Weija Sector Commander, Supt. Richard Cofie and other senior officers of the Ghana Immigration Service.
