GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING HELD BY WGMA

The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA) has held its second General Assembly meeting of the year 2022. The two days meeting was held on Tuesday, 28th and Wednesday, 29th June 2022 at the Institute of Technical Supervision (ITS), Weija Junction. The Presiding Member (PM), Hon. Andrew Oppong Amoako, chaired proceeding. Hon. Tina Mensah, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, was in attendance. The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA), Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, delivered the sessional address. His address, as usual, touched on all the activities of the Assembly over the last quarter. Hon. Kumor (MCE) first, expressed appreciation to all the Assembly Members, the Coordinating Director and staff for supporting the Assembly in the implementation of key policies and progammes. He, also, thanked the Member of Parliament (MP) for being the force of positive development in the municipality. The MCE spoke about agriculture and industrialization activities carried out in the municipality. Other areas included community development and social welfare, disaster management, education, finance and health. The rest are sanitation and public health and projects. He ended with the recommendations of the various sub-committees which went through the executive committee. Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor (MCE), in conclusion, announced the building of bridges, both foot and motorable ones, and asked for the continued cooperation of all as the Municipal Assembly works hard toward the development and progress of its people.
