NALAG ELECT NATIONAL OFFICERS

NALAG Elect National Officers The National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) has ended its three days conference with the election of a new executive body. The conference was held in the Great Hall, KNUST in Kumasi the Ashanti Regional Capital from Wednesday, 1st June to Friday, 3rd June 2022. Attendees to the conference which was officially opened by the Vice President, His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia, included Ministers of State, MMDCEs, CEOs and Assembly Members. The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly was represented by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, the Presiding Member, Hon. Andrew Oppong Amoako and Hon. Augustina Asantewaa Asiedu, the Assembly Member for Djanman. The rest are Hon. Wilfred Ayitey Blankson, the Assembly Member for Weija and Hon. Richard Kofi Bekoe, a government appointee. The conference deliberated on issues of national interest and the welfare of the Local Authorities. At the end of the conference, Hon. Eric Nana Agyeman Prempeh was elected President. Other executives elected were; Hon. Sumaila Duho, 1st Vice President Hon. Evelyn Dansoa Boateng, 2nd Vice President Hon. Sandra Owusu-Ahenkorah, Treasurer Hon. Kenneth Adom Agyei Hon. Gladys Addo Otae Osei, Womens Caucus Representative. The conference officially ended on Friday, 3rd June 2022. Julius Sarpei, PRO, Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly.
