Himart Residents Appreciate MCE

A huge graphite portrait and an appreciation letter told the story of the Gbawe Himart Residents' Association.

 

Led by Lawyer Augustine Boakye Mensah who stood in for their chairman, Rev. Harry Insaidoo, the executive were at the office of the Municipal Chief Executive to thank him for his hard work and vision for the municipality.

 

Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, was at a loss for the appropriate vocabulary to describe his awe.

 

According to the executive of the Himart Residents' Association, Gbawe, Hon. Kumor's warm reception anytime they called on him and the speed at which their road is being tackled, has impressed them.

 

Lawyer Boakye Mensah, also, thanked the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Hon. Tina Mensah, for her pivotal role in the rapid development of the municipality/constituency.

 

Present were the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Mrs. Mercy Quansah Ogoe, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Julius Sarpei and other executive members of the association.

 

The MCD asked the executive to advise their members to pay their property rates to enable the assembly execute more projects in the area.

 

The members suggested more engagements and sensitization with the community.

 

They suggested that the Municipal Assembly could use the Himart Supermarket as a pay point for the collection of rates.

 

Hon. Patrick Kumor (MCE), in his closing remarks, thanked the executive for the honour done him.
