As part of his tours of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Honourable Ishmael Ashitey, has paid a working visit to the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly.
Hon Ishmael Ashitey was accompanied by the Chief Director at the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Mr Ernest Nyagbe and other staff of the RCC.
The visit, on Friday 15th March 2019, was to afford the Regional Minister the opportunity to interact with the heads of departments and suggest ways of moving the Assembly forward.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, welcomed the Minister and his team.
The Chief Director, Mr Nyagbe, in his interaction with the heads of departments, commended them for their rating during the last Key Performance Indicators (KPI) appraisal. He said there is more room for improvement. He ended by urging them to stick to time lines in the submission of reports.
The Regional Minister, Hon Ishmael Ashitey, on his part said the Municipal Assembly should have a medium to long term plan. He said investors are willing to invest here, therefore a conducive environment must be created for them.
Mrs Mercy Quansah, the Municipal Coordinating Director of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, in her closing remarks said the Municipal Assembly was happy about the Minister's visit. She said, on his next visit, the Minister and his team would witness a massive change.
The Regional Minister and his team were seen off by the Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly and the Municipal Coordinating Director.
