All is set for the construction of a Bailey Bridge over the Densu River to link Old and New Weija.

The construction of the bridge by a Czech bridge construction firm, will commence in October this year.

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor on Monday, 26th August 2019, met with the consultants and contractors assigned to construct the bridge.

Somewhere in February this year, the Regional Bridge Maintenance Engineer, Ing Nathan Odjao led a team of engineers to the banks of the river to secure a site for the project.

The bridge will serve both vehicular and human traffic when constructed.
