Rate Payers Sensitization Durbar In New Weija.

The Network for Accountable Governance (NAG) members in the New Weija  Electoral Area have organised a rate payer sensitization durbar.

The NAG, a requirement of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly and the European Union (WGMA/EU) partnership, organised the event at the Blessed Generation  International School, on Thursday, 29th August 2019.

A Municipal Budget Analyst, Mr Jerry Odom and an Accountant, Mr Maxwell Lamptey of the Municipal Assembly were there to explain the Assembly's mandate for revenue collection and rate payers' role in the development of the municipality.

Participants were, also, taken through the processes of building permit acquisition by the Municipal Senior Engineer, Ing Godwin Kaleshi.

Mrs Hilda Dapaah, Development Planning Officer presented A cata of projects undertaken by the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly in the New Weija Electoral Area.

Comments, questions, and suggestions from the participants were welcomed and dealt with by the Municipal Officers.

Mr. Patrick Sam, a member of NAG, thanked all for coming.

At the end of the durbar, participants expressed satisfaction at the exposition they had been given.
