The renovated two storey classrooms block has been handed over to the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly.
The short and impressive ceremony took place on Monday, 4th February 2019 at the New Gbawe Cluster of Schools in the municipality.
Present at the ceremony were the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Mercy Quansah, other Heads of Departments and Assembly Members were in attendance.
The two storey classrooms block was awarded on contract to be renovated a few months ago and completed ahead of schedule.
Receiving the keys to the building, a very satisfied Municipal Chief Executive said he hoped teaching and learning would be enhanced.
Hon Tina Mensah (MP)expressed her joy at the renovated building and requested for tiling work to be done on the corridors.
The Municipal Education Director, Mrs Oye Welbeck admonished the teachers to work harder because, according to her, they had no excuse to fail.
The chairman of the School Management Committee, expressed their thanks to the Municipal Assembly for the swiftness in providing their wards with such a magnificent edifice. He said, hitherto they weren't comfortable seeing their wards in a dilapidated structure.
The two personalities, then cut the tape to signify the official opening of the classrooms.
The group went round to inspect the classrooms.
