The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly has started disinfecting and fumigating public basic schools in the municipality.
The disinfection and fumigation exercise which began on Friday, 8th May 2020, will cover all the twenty-eight (28) public basic schools.
The exercise is an initiative of the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah.
At a short ceremony to brief stakeholders on the exercise at the Oblogo M A Basic Schools, the Public Relations Officer of Wyba Limited, Mr. Samuel Amankwah, the company engaged in the exercise, said the company was approached by the Member of Parliament, Hon Tina Mensah to extend their services to the municipality/constituency.
He said the exercise is at no expense to the assembly.
Hon Patrick Kumor, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) thanked Wyba Limited and hoped to have more interactions with them.
Hon Tina Mensah (MP) said what the company did in another constituency compelled her to approach them.
The MP, who is also a Deputy Minister for Health, appealed to individuals and organisations to consider engaging Wyba Limited for disinfecting and fumigating services.
