The Municipal Health Service of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, has held its Performance Review for 2018.
The event was held on Tuesday 5th February 2019 at the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Hospital's conference hall.
Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor were special guest speakers.
In his welcome address, Dr Bright Tei, the Medical Superintendent of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Health Service, said an overview of performance of the Municipal Health Service over the past year is commendable albeit a few challenges.
Hon Tina Mensah (MP) in her address, said the Ministry of Health is in the process of upgrading some health facilities to meet international standards. She also spoke about two clinics being built in the municipality, Tetegu and Wiaboman, with staff bungalows attached. She ended by saying that her doors are open to all.
The Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, in his speech, commended the Municipal Health Service for the ability to review their performance over the past year. He said the Municipal Assembly has been supportive of the health facilities in the Municipality.
Hon Patrick Kumor (MCE), said health is wealth and so his administration would leave no stone unturned in making health delivery in the Municipality one of the best in the country.
The various health facilities in the Municipality made presentations on their units.
