MMDCEs Commiserate With Family of Late Hon. Ashitey
Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday, 8th January 2022 visited the family of the late Hon. Ishmael Ashitey, former Greater Accra Regional Minister, at Tema, to commiserate with them on his demise.
The late Hon. Ishmael Ashitey, a former MP for Tema East, former Minister for Fisheries, former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NPP and the immediate past Regional Minister, passed on last Friday, 7th January 2022.
The MMDCEs were led by their Dean, Hon. George Cyril Bray, MCE for Ablekuma West.
The entourage included Hon. Patrick Kumor, MCE for the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly.
They were received by the bereaved family who expressed their appreciation for the visit.
As the Regional Minister, then, the late Hon. Ishmael Ashitey was head of the Regional Coordinating Council, therefore, the head of the MMDCEs.
The MMDCEs stated that they would be involved in the arrangements towards the funeral and burial of their former boss.
