WGMA Presents Ramadan Items To Muslims

Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal  Assembly has reiterated the government's commitment to the development of the Zongo communities.

 

The MCE said this on Tuesday, 11th May 2021, when he presented Ramadan Items to the various mosques in the municipality at the Municipal Assembly.

 

Hon. Kumor (MCE) added that the annual fast and prayers of the Muslim brethren for the nation have been of immense benefit to all.

 

He said the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly would continue to engage and assist the Muslim brethren whenever possible.

 

He admonished them to adhere, strictly, to the COVID-19 protocols as they celebrate Ramadan.

 

Present at the presentation were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mrs. Mercy Quansah Ogoe, the Principal Development Planning Officer, Mrs. Cynthia Bonsah, the Budget Analyst, Madam Bless Adzadekor, the Municipal Finance Officer, Mrs. Grace Ahlibi, and some staff of the Municipal Assembly.

 

Imam Iddrisu Haruna of the McCarthy-Hill Mosque spoke on behalf of the fifteen (15) beneficiary mosques.

 

He thanked the President, the Municipal Chief Executive, and the Assembly for the kind gesture.

 

He said his Muslim brethren have noticed and are appreciative of the thought and constant benevolence towards them.

 

The Imam prayed for the blessings of Allah on the President, the Member of Parliament, and the Municipal Chief Executive.

 

Each of the fifteen (15) mosques had bags of rice, boxes of cooking oil, hand sanitizers, nose masks, and LED bulbs.
