Pharmatrust drains begin

Pharmatrust drains begin.

A short but impressive sod cutting ceremony has been performed at Pharmatrust in the New Weija West Electoral Area.

The ceremony, on Wednesday 4th December 2019, was to officially announce the start of the drains and subsequently the seal of the roads in and around the Pharmatrust and Vision areas.

The Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah and the Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, performed the ceremony.

The Municipal Coordinating Director of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Madam Mercy Quansah asked members of the community to support the Municipal Assembly in its quest to bring development to their doorsteps by paying their rates.

Hon Tina Mensah (MP) said it is her avowed aim to ensure that projects meant for her constituents are given to them.

She applauded Hon Oduro Ampaw, the former Assembly Member and Aspirant, for his hard work in his electoral area and asked members of the community to retain him.

The MCE, Hon Patrick Kumor, asked the contractors to ensure value for money. He said very soon contractors will move to site for the construction of roads and storm drains in the New Weija Electoral Area.

A resident, Mr. Samuel Appiah, thanked the Member of Parliament for coming to their aid during their period of distress.

He said the MP brought in an excavator to desilt a choked drain which caused flooding anytime it rained.

The contractor pledged to complete the project in one and a half months.
