The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor was among the dignitaries who attended the funeral of the late Jaasetse of Aplaku in the Ga South municipality.

The funeral of the late Nii Kabu Nartey, Jaasetse of Aplaku on Tuesday, 4th May 2021, was held at his private residence in Aplaku.

Hon. Joseph Nyarni Stephen, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Ga South Municipal Assembly, Presiding Members of both Assemblies, Police Commanders of the Division and District, and other members of staff of the Municipal Assemblies, were present.

Being the funeral of a kingmaker, the funeral ground was awash with a retinue of traditional and Muslim chiefs, opinion leaders, and civil society organizations.

The Weija-Gbawe and Ga South Municipal Assemblies presented boxes of water, assorted drinks, and unspecified amounts to the bereaved family.
