WGMA on Revenue Mobilization Drive

The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly has embarked on a massive revenue mobilization drive in a bid to meet targets set for the year.

The exercise, which started on Thursday, 19th September 2019, is expected to last for sixty (60) days.

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, led the exercise which included the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mrs Mercy Quansah, the Municipal Finance Officer, Mrs Grace Ahlibi, the Municipal Revenue Officer, Mr Joseph Quansah and officials of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Revenue Office.

They were assisted by the Municipal Guards and members of the Task Force.

The team started their task at the Mallam junction station and walked up the street, going from shop to shop inspecting evidence of payment of the temporary structure permit and the business operating permit, to the Mallam Station.

In an interview with the media, Hon Patrick Kumor (MCE) said, the Municipal Assembly needs to mobilize enough funds to boost the Internally Generated Funds (IGF). This, he said, would enable the Assembly execute more developmental projects in the municipality.

He called on the people to cooperate with the revenue team to make the exercise a success.
