The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, partnered by the German Development Agency (GIZ), has held its 2nd and final Town Hall Meeting for the year 2019.
The Town Hall Meeting is held twice a year to inform and update members of the municipality of projects and programmes executed, in progress and projections for the next next year.
The meeting held on Monday, 30th September 2019 at the Accord Ministry International in Oblogo, in the Oblogo Tetegu Electoral Area, was well attended.
The Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Kumor, the Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mrs Mercy Quansah and officials of the German Development Agency (GIZ) were in attendance.
Heads of Departments of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, chiefs and elders of the various communities in the municipality were present.
Welcoming all to the meeting, Hon Patrick Kumor (MCE) said the period under review has been an eventful one, looking at the Assembly which is just a little over a year old.
He asked all to exercise patience, since developmental projects are slated for all corners of the municipality.
The Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah, in her speech, said the collaboration between her and the Municipal Chief Executive, has given birth to the numerous projects in the municipality.
Visuals of projects and programmes executed over the period under review were shown.
There were questions which were answered to the satisfaction of all.
In her closing remarks, the Municipal Coordinating Director of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Mrs Mercy Quansah said members of the community should not hesitate to contact the Assembly whenever the need arises.
She ended by congratulating the Network for Accountable Governance members for their commitment and thanked all for coming.
