Bulemin Road Project Starts

Contractors are on site constructing the Gbawe Bulemin road. 

The contractors, Messrs GS International Developers, moved machinery to the site on Tuesday, 1st October 2019.

The project is part of the 8.6 kilometres of roads in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality which was approved for execution. 

A ground breaking ceremony was performed, on Friday 4th October 2019, in line with the  historic project. 

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Kumor, the Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah, chiefs and elders of Gbawe, heads of Departments of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly and the general public were in full attendance. 

In his opening address, Nii Mohammed Kwatelai Quartey, Principal Stool Elder, who stood in for the chief of Gbawe, said the developmental projects being executed in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality is unprecedented. He was full of praise for the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah and Hon Patrick Kumor for delivering on their promises.

Hon Patrick Kumor (MCE), on his part said the collaboration between the Member of Parliament and himself has catapulted the municipality to where it finds itself now.

The Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah, the originator of the project, said more of the projects will be seen in the coming weeks. 

Engineer Daniel Sowah, Municipal Roads Engineer, said there will be value for money and the project will be executed day and night. 

Other roads to be constructed are the Gravel Junction link road, the Blue Cross Junction through to the Anaanu Kpeten road, Choice and the Pharmatrust roads. 

The projects were all lobbied for by the Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah.

The contractors have pledged to complete the project in one (1) month.
