MCE Assesses Encroachment Of Ramseyer Sites.

MCE assesses encroachment of Ramseyer Sites.

Today, Monday 3rd December 2018, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick K. B. Kumor together with the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mrs Mercy Quansah, engineers and other staff of the Municipal Assembly went to sites reserved as Ramseyer sites.

The move, made today, was as a result of indiscriminate encroachment of these sites by unidentifiable individuals and companies.

At two of the sites where efforts are being made to win the land for development, the illegal owners were no where to be found.

The team, however, invited them through the caretakers on the land.

At a laterite winning site near Oblogo, the situation was so precarious that any slight movement of the earth could cause serious damage to buildings overhead and around.

The MCE's team found no one in sight. Residents told the team that those working there had vacated the site about a week ago.

In an interview, Hon Kumor said he would leave no stone unturned in his quest to bring sanity, law and order to the municipality.
