MCE hands over pickups to MCD
The Municipal Chief Executive of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Kumor, today 14th November 2018, handed over four brand-new pickups to the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mrs Mercy Quansah.
The four vehicles are made up of two Ford pickups bought by the Municipal Assembly and two Nissan Hardbody pickups presented to the Assembly by the Ministries of Local Government and Trade and Industry.
Hon Patrick Kumor, in handing over the pickups, said with the acquisition of the vehicles, revenue collection must be enhanced together with other activities of the Municipal Assembly. He also stressed the need for a very good maintenance culture.
Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the Assembly, Mrs Mercy Quansah assured the MCE of staff readiness to take the Assembly to another level. She said if within this short period the Assembly has been able to do so much, then the sky is the limit. She gave the assurance that the vehicles would be put to good use and would be maintained properly.
The event was witnessed by a cross section of the staff of the Municipal Assembly.
