Assembly holds General Assembly Meeting
 
The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly held its 4th session today, 30th October 2018, at the Institute of Technical Studies (ITS) premises.
 
The General Assembly meeting, mandated by law, had the Presiding Member of the Municipal Assembly, Hon Patrick Baidoo, in the chair.
 
The session, the first for the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, was attended by the Member of Parliament for Weija- Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah and also the Municipal Coordinating Director , Madam Mercy Quansah. The MP is a member of the Assembly.
 
In his address, Hon Kumor touched on various areas of concern to the Assembly.
 
He spoke on plans to finance the activities and projects of the Assembly. He said education on revenue mobilization will be intensified.
 
The MCE also spoke on security in the Municipality. He said there has been discussions with Fuel Station managers to help the police patrol teams with fuel.
 
Other areas Hon Kumor touched on are the boundaries of the Assembly, education, health and agricultural projects, roads, and LEAP(livelihood empowerment against poverty). 
 
The MCE said the celebration of this year's Farmers Day will be a collaboration between this Assembly and the Ga South Municipal Assembly.
 
The session will enter its second and final day tomorrow.
