MCE visits health facilities in Municipality.
Today, Wednesday 17th October 2018, the Municipal Chief Executive for Weija/Gbawe Municipal Assembly paid a working visit to health facilities in the municipality.
Hon. Kumor was accompanied by Mrs Mercy Quansah, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Nii Lantei Mills, the Municipal Assistant Director and other members of staff of the Municipal Assembly.
The visit took the team, first to the Weija/Gbawe Municipal Hospital, also known as Akawe.
Dr Bright, Municipal Health Director, Mr Tanko Iddi, Administrator and other senior members of staff of the hospital, welcomed the MCE and his entourage.
The group visited all the units of the hospital and inspected a proposed site for a mortuary for the hospital.
The Administrator, Mr Tanko Iddi, expressed satisfaction at the MCE's visit and asked for more infrastructural development at the hospital since the hospital has specialised professionals at their disposal.
Hon. Patrick Kumor promised to expedite action on the hospital's demands.
Other facilities visited were the Demonstration Clinic at New Gbawe and the Oblogo Health Centre .
At the Demonstration Clinic, the Officer in charge, Miss Cynthia Lamptey, took the MCE and his team around the facility.
The team was shown an uncompleted maternity block being built jointly by the Member of Parliament for Weija/Gbawe Constituency, Hon. Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah and Mr Yaw Amankwah, proprietor of Crown and Glory School.
The MCE was so happy that he urged others to emulate this kind gesture.
The last stop was the Oblogo Health Centre. Miss Octmel Magdou Bedwei, Officer in charge, took the team round.
At the end of the visits, Dr Bright thanked Hon Kumor and his team for taking time off to come round.
