MCE, Police meet Fuel Station Operators

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, together with the Police Command have had a fruitful meeting with Fuel Station Operators in the Municipality.

The meeting, held today 18th October 2018, at the Assembly Hall was attended by all the fuel station managers or their representatives.

The meeting bordered on security of their stations and the municipality as a whole.

The MCE, assisted as usual by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mrs Mercy Quansah, set the tone by explaining the idea behind the meeting. He encouraged the operators to air their views on ways in which they think can help curb the menace of armed robbery in the municipality.

The District Commander, DSP Enningful, also added her voice on the issue.

The District Crime Officer said he believed that if managers of the stations would allow the police to vet prospective pump attendants, the rate of fuel station robberies would decrease considerably. This is because most of the robberies have inside help.

At the end of the interaction, some of the managers promised to fuel the police patrol cars to enhance their operations.
